I think being abroad brings out the inner child in me or something because I really like playing games when I am away. This evening I invited a student from my first year class and told him he could bring a few friends. Sojurner was staying over for the weekend so she joined in the festivites. I think the highlight of that night was when everyone saw my true cometitive nature when one the guys put down a yellow skip on a green three card. I picked it up, glared at him, sucked my teeth, and then chucked it back at him in disgust. Sojo just looked at me and laughed-- shaking her head in the probable disbelief that the sweet Akisha she thought she knew was acting like this. Yeah, that is the real Akisha playing games...what can I say? I am a 4 year letter holder of the 3-time state champion Charlotte Country Day School women's field hockey team. They should have known better than to play with me.... :)
